QRANK is a location based Social Trivia game. Global games are held once a day, the idea is incredibly simple and it’s been executed very well making QRANK extremely addictive.
Play the global game any time during the day, pick a specialist subject and get as many questions right under a time limit, you also get 3 cards that can:
1) Freeze answer time momentarily
2) Find out the % of people who picked which answer
3) 50/50 remove two answers and leave two.
Or look for or even host your own live games these can be played any time and start every 15 minutes but are currently few and far between as the game is fairly new, but as it’s so contagious were hoping to start seeing more live games soon.
There are a couple of quirks for some reason it doesn’t matter how many times I update my status or my quote it always forgets them as soon as the app is closed and restarted but does remember my user name. Occasionally crashes too but the crashes seem infrequent. Scrolling through scores and achievements is also strange and doesn’t have the same smooth scroll you would expect from an iDevice.
Verdict: One of our favourite games even if it only lasts 5 minutes it’s great fun playing trivia competing against other locals and then checking to see how you rank against others locally, nationally and globally. 5/5
