Private creates a password protected area on your iPhone or iPod Touch that you can store information securely. There are several areas inside the application for storing various types of information and media including: Notes, Photos, Contacts & Web.

If you have some confidential information or photos you want to keep private from prying eyes then this is an excellent and well thought out app. There is currently no way to export information out of the app which makes this a bit of a deal breaker in v1. However v1.3 is supposed to include export of photos. But it really needs to be able to export all information to really make this a useful app in the long term.

In it’s current form Private Area is lacking especially in export features but has some real potential to become an essential app over time. The design is simple, readability is nice and the user interface is pretty efficient. 3/5
