Met Office is an official government app for getting your weather forecast. It’s by no means the best looking weather app but it certainly offers a lot of features from forecast within a few hundred yards of your location to a 5 day forecast that can be broken down to every couple of hours and as the data comes straight from the met office it’s probably the most reliable weather app out there.

Includes some gimmicky features such as Maps and Data that offer a TV Weather like map showing how the day will change across the country.

Verdict: As I commute on a bike during the week and do long journeys on the weekend I pay very close attention to the weather so I can plan accordingly, Met Office currently offers the most detailed and accurate weather data available and it’s FREE.
