Hailo is a free app designed to make getting a Black Cab Taxi in London super easy. It’s all pretty straight forward but executed brilliantly. Launch the app let it use your current location and it will quickly estimate how quickly a cab could be with you in.

If you prefer you can manually choose a different location by dragging the map and booking a cab to pick you up there. You do need to register for the first time but once this is done getting a cab around London should be a doddle.

I had a chance to test Hailo out when visiting London recently and it worked as you would expect. Would be fantastic to see it expand and rolled out nationally.
