Agenda Calendar
Agenda Calendar 2.0 has just been released and with it brings a universal iOS app compatible with both iPhone and iPad’s. Agenda is a beautifully hand crafted calendar app. The app focuses on keeping it simple whilst managing to execute the balance of form and function extremely well. If you just want a simple way to manage your events then Agenda has you covered. The layout is uncluttered and therefore really simple to follow. But if you need more advanced calendar management Agenda still has you covered with the ability to sync effortlessly with Google, Exchange and MobileMe calendars. One of the things I like...
SongExporter Pro
We have all done it. Reformatted the computer without making a backup of our iTunes library file. Then the realisation dawns on you and you start searching the web for software that will extract your music from your iDevice back to your computer. There are tons of applications that promise to do this free and paid they are however for the most part very hit and miss which can be a frustrating experience. Enter SongExporter for iPhone/iPad and iPod Touches. The only thing SongExporter requires is that you have a wireless network at home. It works across all operating systems and is about as simple...
Grazing – Web Browser
Grazing is a new universal web browsing app for iPad and iPhone’s. I haven’t tested it on the iPad yet so this review will be focused on the iPhone v2 of Grazing. When I heard about grazing I was intrigued. You have to be confident in your product to go up against a native app such as Safari and most browsers I have tested have failed to live up to or provide a better experience than Safari for iPhone/iPad. Grazing is about the closest to a full web browser experience I have come across in any browser app to date. That in itself is quite...
Springpad
Springpad is a web pp and iPhone app I have recently started using and it’s really growing on me. My most regularly used iPhone apps are ones that increase my productivity or work flow and springpad fits in really nicely. Allows for quick and easy saving of ideas and memos with an intuitive design. With the option to import Delicious bookmarks is a good enough reason on it’s own to download the app being there are not any decent delicious apps on iTunes and the recent controversy about Yahoo possibly shutting the service down!
iStudiez Pro
If you are or are about to be a student then you should seriously consider purchasing iStudiez Pro. I have been testing the app for a couple of days, and have been absolutely blown away by the feature set. Far more than just a timetable iStudiez Pro is a complete course management solution. Requires a fair amount of setting up, as you input your course and the individual subjects a long with your classes options to add the building and the classroom which can also be colour coded so you can quickly see your classes via looking at the calender view. You can also input...
PasteFire
PasteFire is a neat free app that addresses a real problem for me and that is quickly transferring text to my device. I was originally using a fairly elaborate set up to do this so PasteFire really increases my productivity. It will accept other files as well as text such as images and there are multiple export options such as sending to: SMS, Mail, Tweetie, Twitterific, Gowalla, Show on map, Save to local clipboard etc. However I only find the clip board function useful for my needs and prefer to use Dropbox for other files such as images and pdf’s etc. PasteFire isn’t going to...
Babo Crash HD
Babo Crash HD is a unique match 3 game. Visually stunning and well executed, the aim of the game is to match enough combinations before the timer runs out. Each level becomes increasingly difficult. Match four of any colour and a corresponding Babo hero will appear each with a unique ability some of which can be manipulated by rotating the screen to help you destroy crystals. A long with typical match 3 games you can rotate the screen in any direction at any time. Another use for screen rotation is when a bomb appears you need to rotate the screen to force it to fall...
VLC Remote
VLC Remote allows you to remote control the best Media Player application for Windows. This is amongst one of our most used apps and all though some other apps include options for VLC none come close to the feature set of VLC Remote. Simply put if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch and use VLC on your Computer then you need this app. 5/5 Developer site: Hobbyist Software Review: VLC Remote iOS 4 Compatible
